Paisatge nevat (Snowy Landscape)Panel painting 38 x 46 cm

After a long period of training, completed with an intense relationship with Joaquim Mir, who influenced him greatly in the beginning, he settled in Paris in 1926. There he dealt with the big avant-garde artists, from Picasso to Gris, Gargallo…, and he endorsed their work through the gallery- restaurant that he opened in the French capital where it achieved great success. He knew and boosted the vanguard artists but his work moved in a realistic schematic with notable shadings of color.

He was not concerned with the style but with the technique, to which he dedicated many studies and ongoing efforts throughout his lifetime.
